Eaton Partners Expands Partnership as Firm Continues Global Growth

ROWAYTON, Conn., April 8, 2015 — Eaton Partners, the world’s leading independent placement agent, is pleased to announce that, following a year of strong domestic and international growth, it has asked three of its senior members to join the Partnership this year. In addition, the firm has promoted five professionals to Managing Director. As a group, these professionals represent several of our offices around the globe and signify the firm’s continued cross-border strength.

These individuals exemplify the depth of talent at Eaton Partners and the Firm’s unique combinations experience with expertise in different asset classes including private equity and hedge funds and deep sector knowledge across the Firm’s global network.

Ulises Flores, Partner, Rowayton

Uli focuses on fund origination, screening, due diligence and packaging of various alternative products for distribution with an emphasis on real estate and real assets. He has over 15 years of financial services and corporate experience, ten of which have been spent in the private equity industry. During his time at Eaton Partners, he has covered primarily real estate, real assets and hedge fund strategies.

Previous to joining Eaton Partners, he worked at Servicios Quirurgicos, an exclusive distributor for Tyco Healthcare, a U.S.-based public conglomerate where he oversaw logistic and distribution efforts. He began his career at Grupo Alza in their production and operations units overseeing system implementations and production execution

Steven Eaton, Partner, Rowayton

Steve focuses on the distribution of the firm’s private equity, real estate and real assets offerings. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, working in both the buy-side and the sell-side of the market.

Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he was a Director at C6 Capital, a Moscow-based investor of renewable energy projects, where he was in charge of business development. Previously, he worked for Montrose Food and Wine in Shanghai, China, Invesco Funds Group and Citigroup Diners Club. He has several years of experience living and working in emerging market countries, namely China, Russia and Ukraine.

Chris Lerner, Partner, Shanghai

Chris leads the origination and execution of alternative funds for Eaton in Asia. He has over 15 years of investment banking and direct investment experience with over $10 billion in completed transactions.

Before joining Eaton Partners, Chris was a Managing Partner for Mercer Street Capital, an independent strategic advisory and investment firm. Chris began his career with Citigroup and its predecessor firm, Salomon Smith Barney. He was the firm’s first investment banking expatriate based in Mainland China and helped established the Asia Pacific Financial Institutions Group. Later, he worked on the corporate buy-side in strategic planning and business development, including The Timberland Company where he completed the first four acquisitions in that company’s history.

Chrystalle Anstett, Managing Director, Rowayton

Chrystalle focuses on execution of the firm’s alternative investment offerings. She has 15 years of financial services experience, 12 of which have been spent marketing investment products.

Before joining Eaton Partners, she was Senior Investor Relations Associate at QFS Asset Management, a $1.4 billion systematic global macro hedge fund. Previously, she spent a number of years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where she focused on institutional and high net worth business development, in addition to fixed income product management. She began her career at Lazard Asset Management in accounting and later joined the institutional marketing group. Chrystalle is a CFA Charterholder.

Joshua Barenbaum, Managing Director, Rowayton

Josh focuses on the distribution of the firm’s private equity, real estate and real assets offerings. He has over 10 years of diversified management and investment experience.

Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he was a Vice President at Kayne Anderson, where he focused on direct mezzanine investing. Previously, he worked as an Associate at Versa Capital where he completed control investments in corporate distressed situations. Josh also has experience working in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and strategy consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton.

Sarah Breiner, Managing Director, Rowayton

Sarah is part of the project management team and focuses on the firm’s origination efforts and execution of the various alternative funds marketed by the firm. She has over 10 years of experience in financial services, including 9 years marketing investment products.

Previous to joining Eaton Partners, she spent five years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she served as Vice President and Client Portfolio Manager. In this role, she was responsible for raising assets from institutional, private wealth and third party investors in the firm’s developed and emerging market equities and real estate strategies, totaling over $7.0 billion in assets under management. Previously, she worked at JP Morgan Private Bank as Assistant Portfolio Manager where she focused on portfolio management of the firm’s private client accounts. Sarah is a CFA Charterholder.

Andrew Brown, Managing Director, Rowayton

Andrew focuses on distribution of the firm’s hedge fund and public market strategies and has more than 20 years of institutional marketing and financial markets experience. He has extensive knowledge of hedge fund operations, compliance and legal structures and has a comprehensive understanding of alternative strategies.

Andrew was the head of marketing at Ft. Sheridan Advisors prior to joining Eaton Partners, raising institutional assets for managed accounts of global macro, absolute return and relative value strategies. Previously, he was the head of marketing for Corriente Advisors, a macro hedge fund focused on global debt deflation strategies. Prior to that, he was a partner and head of marketing and investor relations for Parkcentral Capital Management L.P, which managed a global multi-strategy hedge fund comprised of fixed income arbitrage, equity arbitrage, quantitative, commodity and credit themes.

Jackson Chan, Managing Director, Hong Kong

Jackson focuses on the distribution of the firm’s alternative assets offerings in Asia. He has more than 15 years of institutional sales and marketing experience in the alternative space. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, Jackson headed the business development function at Hamilton Lane in Asia, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing and client servicing of all the group’s alternative solutions and products to Asian investors.

Previously, he held similar positions at Ramius, SGAM and SAIL Advisors. Jackson began his career as an investment consultant, working at both Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Tower Watsons, assisting a number of Asian institutional investors in developing their investment strategies, with a focus on alternative assets.
